The Ohio State University Golf Club is semi-private, reserved for those with an affiliation to the school. There are two courses - Scarlet and Gray - each with their own challenges. Scarlet was the first to open in 1938 and underwent major restoration in 2005-2006 under the watchful eye of Jack Nicklaus. The Gray course is the more approachable of the two, though both are no walks in the park. The club has hosted the Korn Ferry Tour, U.S. Open Qualifiers, NCAA Regionals and OHSAA state championships. There is a large clubhouse, restaurant and bar as well as a pro shop, range and short game practice area.
